Enrique comes to
Arizona
from
Washington
State
where he served a total of 31 years in the public sector:
twenty-six years in Washington State Patrol as a law enforcement
officer and retired as a Captain.
Enrique then served four-years in civil rights arena with
the Washington State Department of Transportation, and he served
one-year in education. Enrique’s
last assignment with the Washington State Patrol was as a Division
Commander for the Office of Professional Standards followed by a
position as the Diversity Programs Administrator for the
Washington State Department of Transportation.
Enrique received a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Chemistry from
Eastern
Washington
University
and Masters Degree in Public Administration from The Evergreen
State College. Enrique
attended Northwestern University Traffic Institute’s
School
of
Police Staff
and Command in 1991 and served as class President.
Enrique Cantu is a new comer to the state of
Arizona
where he worked for 18 months with the Arizona Department of
Juvenile Corrections as a program project specialist and most
recently was appointed as the Executive Director for the Arizona
Automobile Theft Authority in October 2005.
